FullSizeRender 2The northernmost church in our fellowship—The Great Land Christian Church: Fairbanks—had its inaugural service Sunday, September 20th, 2015, on the campus of the University of Alaska.

What a great experience it was! There were over 70 brothers and sisters who traveled from Anchorage, Alaska, from California, and from Texas to support the new church. During the weeks leading up to the service, the mission team worked hard on inviting people. From their heart to serve God, over 50 visitors from the Fairbanks area attended, which included a wide demographic of people. Ranging from teens to campus to singles to the mature, over 120 came to worship God with the church that morning!

Starting right

The most exciting part: the church experienced their first baptism after the service! The mission team has officially grown to 17 people! God is working in Fairbanks and it will be awesome to see what God does there in the days to come. With over 20 Bible studies happening and more on the way, God is already doing great things.

Community Impact

In addition to a new church, Fairbanks has gained a group of hard-working people that want to make a difference in the community around them. The disciples in Fairbanks have been serving the community, including the youth, through their partnership with the Boys & Girls Club. They will continue to build up Fairbanks through service and meeting the needs of the area.

Please keep praying for the mission team and that God would lead them to people who are truly seeking Him.
