“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.” (Matthew 9:36)
Do you have Jesus’ compassion for the lost, and long to serve a church that really needs your help? Do you want to be inspired by other faithful disciples? This may be your opportunity to immerse yourself for a few weeks in serving, loving and teaching the lost, to be on the cutting edge of Caribbean Missions this summer!
The Grenadian disciples have faced serious financial and personal challenges, and social and political hardships. Most members drifted away from the Lord, after a devastating category 3 hurricane Ivan, destroyed 90% of the island... these are just a few of the difficulties faced by the St. Georges International Church of Christ over the last 9 years!
But God is not done with the Spice Island! By His mercy, a mere handful of disciples have held on in faith, and this summer will witness the result of their prayers and perseverance, as the churches in the Caribbean, through the efforts and sacrifice of the Trinidad church, are set to re-plant the church in Grenada this August!
You can be a part of this historic effort, by planning to spend the last few weeks of your summer in beautiful Grenada, preaching and teaching the Word of God, encouraging the saints, and supporting the mission team at our inaugural service on August 18th.
It will call for a sacrificial heart, as the disciples face discouragement from past efforts of the church. Your resolve will be tested, as we will begin our campaign amidst the revelry and stupor of a Carnival celebration. You will be challenged to stand firm in the face of religious ridicule and social disorder. But mostly your faith will grow, and the encouragement and compassion you share with others will return to you 100-fold, as we pray for our replanting efforts in Grenada to result in a display of God’s mercy and faithfulness to His children!
If your heart is moved to boldly step out to the edge of Caribbean missions this summer, and be a part of the inaugural service in St. Georges, Grenada on August 18th, you need to do the following:
2) Pray for wisdom, faith, compassion, and a heart to serve the people of Grenada. Also pray that God will ably prepare the team of disciples who will relocate to Grenada.
3) Encourage other like-minded disciples to take up this challenge to personally support and participate in Caribbean missions!
