Huntsville AlabamaGod is moving in the “Rocket City” in 2016. The Greater Huntsville Church planting was officially announced at the Southeast Evangelism Conference last year in Greenville, South Carolina.

Ministry couple needed:

We are looking for a young couple with both prior ministry leadership experience and a passion for the lost to lead the church planting. The Huntsville church is now accepting applications and hopes to have the couple in place as quickly as possible to help in the church planting preparations.

Mission team volunteers needed:

We are looking for 25-30 marrieds, singles, empty nesters, and college students to move permanently or to take the One Year Challenge to help plant the church. With Huntsville's strong presence in Fortune 500 companies and major universities, disciples can quickly adapt and make an impact in this thriving city.

The Huntsville metropolitan area has a population of 683,000 and continues to be the fastest-growing of the four large metro areas of Alabama. This steady growth is attributed to the increasing presence of major government agencies (NASA, U.S. Army Aviation, Missile Defense Agency) and several Fortune 500 companies specializing in technology, space, biomedical and defense industries.

The city of Huntsville hosts several colleges and university campuses: Alabama A&M University, University of Alabama in Huntsville, Calhoun Community College and Oakwood University.
