As Christmas Eve is ticking, enjoy this Christmas song "Go Tell It To The
Mountain" sung by New York Harlem Singers at the US Ambassador's house on December 22. The group was in Jakarta in a charity concert for HOPE worldwide Indonesia.

What: U.S. Ambassador Cameron Hume will host the New York Harlem Singers to perform for children and teachers from SDN 01 Menteng, Nurani Dunia, and the Taman Suropati Chamber Group, as well as several of U.S. President-Elect Barack Obama's former schoolmates. In addition to holiday classics and traditional American gospel numbers, the group will also sing a specially-written song, titled Obama's Journey.

About New York Harlem Singers: A musical mixture of traditional Broadway, opera and gospel traditions, the New York Harlem singers are an eight member ensemble established in 1996. Comprised of pianist George Caldwell, sopranos Ramona Dunlap and Natasha Williams, mezzo soprano Charity Dawson, tenor James Alexander, baritone Phillip Boykin, bass Richard Bellazzin, and percussionist Leopoldo Fleming, the group will be in Jakarta as part of their Asian tour to raise money for an international non-profit organization (NGO) called HOPE worldwide.

About HOPE worldwide: HOPE worldwide Indonesia was established in 1994 with a simple mission to love the poor. The organization is affiliated with HOPE worldwide, an international relief & development NGO which is based in the United States in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. HOPE worldwide Indonesia has contributed a free medical clinic set up in Muara Baru, North Jakarta, serving the poor and vulnerable fisherman families. HOPE also sponsors schools, has computer training centers, and performs relief efforts for victims of natural disasters in Indonesia. HOPE employees a staff of three and has close to 300 volunteers mobilized to serve the poor.
