The family of churches in the Mid-South (Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi and Tennessee) is excited to announce the 2009 Mid-South Discipleship Conference with the theme “He Said We Could”. The Conference will be held February 20-22, 2009 at the new Embassy Suites Convention Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, twenty-five miles southeast of Nashville. Theme messages will focus on God’s choice of us and God’s belief in us as the ones who can carry out his will and fulfill his purposes.

Encouraged by the family of churches in the Southeast (Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina), our leaders in the Mid-South made the decision to hold our conference every other year on odd numbered years in order that the Mid-South and Southeast churches might support each others conferences, with the Southeast “Festival of Faith” being held on even-numbered years.

Because of this decision, disciples from Georgia and the Carolinas will be able to join the Mid-South churches in 2009, and those from Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky and Tennessee will be able to go to Athens, Georgia, in 2010 for the Festival of Faith.

With these two events now better coordinated, they will serve to encourage a broader group of churches, expose Christians to more leaders and teachers and strengthen relationships across the South, advancing the gospel in seven states. Please mark your calendars and plan to be a part of these two important events.
