China 2008 Campus Goal: 100 Baptisms PDF Print Email

China has just witnessed an incredible Olympics in Beijing, and the spirit of the Chinese is very high. However, we want to pray for the Spirit of the Lord to come to this great nation.

 

 

With about 700 disciples in the underground churches, our goal is to baptize 100 campus students in 2008. The Lord has been moving powerfully in the past few years. We ask for your prayers to see the Lord "fan into flame!"

2002: 10 campus students baptized
2003: 17 campus students baptized
2004: 28 campus students baptized
2005: 41 campus students baptized
2006: 59 campus students baptized
2007: 62 campus students baptized
2008: first 6 months: 49... (half of Campus 100 goal.)

Under the leadership of the China Mission Council, resources were able to be coordinated and directed to revitalize campus ministry in China. At the same time, we thank the Boston Church for the Beam Mission Fund and the Seattle/Northwest churches for their financial koinonia over the years. We want to specially lift up the sacrifice of the Hong Kong and Taiwan disciples, who are the reasons that this dream is kept alive in the past 15 years!

"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." (Eph. 3:20-21)
