The churches in the Southwest are excited to announce our first SW Christian Conference July 25th-27th, 2008 in Phoenix, Arizona!

Southwest Singles Conference
Singles will hold a concurrent conference from July 24 - 27th and join with the Southwest Christian Conference for a few sessions.

Thousands are expected to come from Colorado, California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Hawaii. This conference will be an incredible time of inspiration, challenge, worship, and fellowship for families, college students, and teens. Details will soon follow. Our key note speaker Friday night, Shawn Wooten, has inspired thousands with his preaching and life example over the past two decades. Shawn was baptized into Christ as a college student at the University of Kansas in January of 1991. Just over a year later he moved from the KU campus ministry to Moscow in May of 1992 and was part of the church planting to St. Petersburg in July of that same year. Less than a year later he was sent to lead the church in Kiev, Ukraine in May of 1993. Shawn moved back to Moscow in November of 1995 and served the church there as well as in the role of Vice President of HOPE Worldwide from 1996 to 2006. Currently he is the lead evangelist of the Kiev church and has responsibilities for evangelist training throughout churches in Europe. Shawn and his wife Lena were married in May of 1994 (Lena was converted in Moscow in 1991). They have two children, Andrew (11) and Diana (6).

Southwest Singles Conference

Welcome to the 2008 Southwest Singles Conference website. Continue coming back to this site as we update it continually with information on speakers, classes, itinerary, entertainment, sporting activities and more.

This year's theme is "A Faithful Witness". We are excited to bring you a conference schedule oriented from a single's perspective, relevant for today and rooted in Jesus Christ, the faithful witness...(Rev. 1:5).

We have added an additional day to the conference, based on an overwhelming request to do so. The Southwest Singles Conference will begin on a Thursday and end on Sunday morning. With the expectation of an attendance over 1000 this year and an additional day, there will be an opportunity for more teaching, fellowship, and fun. Also, in the spirit of the Southwest, there will be Spanish classes available.

We have an additional treat this year! We will be coming together with people from all over the great Southwest as we join the Southwest Christian Conference. We will have fellowship with the marrieds, teens, and campus ministries at the Dodge Theatre on Friday night and Sunday morning.

We would like to encourage you to make this a memorable time in your life. Take advantage of all the classes, events, fellowship and the Resort's amenities, as you renew and reenergize physically and spiritually.
