Chinese disciples tell many inspiring stories out of the recent earthquake disaster.

First House Church services after the earthquake
Since the earthquake on May 12th, the aftershocks have not ceased. Nevertheless, it cannot make us hold back from being together to worship God and have fellowship. On May 14th and 15th, 95 brothers and sisters in Christ attended five different house church services with the same topic: one minute in the earthquake but life in what cannot be shaken remains!

Brothers treating the injured in disaster areas returned to Chengdu
In the afternoon of May 15th, two brothers, Mountain and Argun, doctors, arrived at the badly damaged YinChangGou Town of Pengzhou City and Hanwang Town of Mianzhu City to participate in medical rescues. During the next 24 hours, they took turns with many others treating wounded people, many of which were just dug out from the ruins. In the afternoon of May 16th, they returned to Chengdu City with their medical teams.

Every family member of brothers and sisters is safe!
And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. - Genesis 7:1

Rebecca
Many family members of Rebecca, another sister, live in Aba and WenChuan County, the harder-hit areas by the earthquake. During the past several days, without having any contact with them, Rebecca, her husband, and other brothers and sisters kept on praying for their safety. This morning after continuously receiving news from her family, she confirmed that everyone in the disaster areas was safe and without injury.

May
Another sister, May’s parents live in Pixian County around Chengdu City which is about 50 km from the epicenter. With the strong shaking and vibrations caused by the earthquake, some houses were damaged or ruined; but May’s parents were safe without injury and their house is in good condition.

Teresa
Teresa’s parents live in Jiangyou City where is about 100 km apart from the the epicenter. One week before the earthquake, Teresa’s mother was found to have gallstones, so she took her parents to Chengdu City and they all stayed in her house after her mother received the operation. On May 12th, the earthquake happened; and the house of Teresa’s parents in Jiangyou City was badly damaged and the roof had collapsed.

Deborah
Deborah’s parents live in Qingcheng Mountain around Chengdu city, which is about 50 km from the epicenter. The mountain facing the house of Deborah’s parents, collapsed on one side, but Deborah’s parents were safe and their house was undamaged.

Sophie
Many family, relatives, and friends of another sister, Sophie, live in Dujiangyan City and Yingxiu Town of Wenchuan County, both harder-hit areas in this earthquake; even Yingxiu Town is near the epicenter. It’s amazing that all her family, relatives, and friends are safe, except for some houses of her family, which were damaged; and a friend in Yingxiu Town, who was slightly injured.

Please keep praying for everyone to turn to God in this time of natural disaster and for all of the disciples to be the light in a dark place.
