China Earthquake Update and PowerPoint PDF Print Email
by Steve Chin -- Hong Kong, China  -  Sunday, 18 May 2008
Thanks for all the concerns and prayers for China and the Chinese disciples. While there are no disciples or their families hurt in this terrible earthquake, we are sobered by the tens and thousands who perished.

At this time, the churches in the Greater China area have started to financially support the earthquake relief effort initiated by the disciples near the area.

We will keep you updated as we coordinate our efforts and resources to help in anyway we can. Please continue to keep China in your prayers.

If the Spirit moves you to give to the earthquake relief effort, please ask your Church leaders to contact us, and we will ensure this money is put into the relief effort.

China began three days of mourning on Monday for the more than 30,000 lost in the devastating 7.9 earthquake of May 12. The pain in China is magnified by the fact that many of the dead are children and there is a strict one child per family rule.

A brother in China sends this moving PowerPoint presentation about grief and hope.
