Kelly Robbins is the reigning Mrs. Canada International 2008. Kelly is also a disciple of Jesus Christ. Her husband Jamie is the minister for the Rocky Mountain Church of Christ in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Kelly (and Jamie) have the unique honor and opportunity to represent Christ in an International arena.

As the reigning Mrs. Canada International, Kelly will be competing for the Mrs. International Contest held July 18th and 19th, 2008. This competition will be in Chicago, Illinois at the Northshore Center for the Performing Arts. The event will give each contestant the opportunity to learn about customs and family life in other countries, along with the chance to share her beliefs and make new friends.

Mrs. International® was developed to have higher standards than other pageant systems. The focus behind Mrs. International® is to showcase women 21 to 56 years old and married. Each contestant has the opportunity to select a platform of her choice that she spends the year promoting. Husbands are a direct part of the show, escorting their wives in the Evening Gown competition, and the husband crowns his wife titleholder.

Kelly’s platform is childhood obesity. As a member of the Canadian Obesity Network, Kelly is an advocate for the education and prevention of childhood obesity. To combat this growing epidemic Kelly has launched the Ambassadors For Life program in Canadian schools. Ambassadors, is a program designed to tackle the issue of childhood obesity at a grassroots level, among the children themselves. Kelly volunteers time speaking at schools, encouraging children to embrace healthy lifestyles, and appointing student ambassadors, who will continue to spread the message among their peers. She also teaches fitness classes at schools using her fun and crazy style to help children see that exercise can be fun. Her first children’s book on healthy eating (Slug and Speedy on Race Day) will be published this summer. Kelly also volunteers time with HOPE Worldwide, an international charity bringing hope and changing lives around the globe.

Kelly is a certified Nutrition and Wellness Consultant as well as an Emotional Fitness Coach and a group fitness instructor. She is the founder and owner of Losin’ It, a weight loss and nutrition clinic in Calgary. She is also a talented speaker and enjoys inspiring groups to embrace healthy lifestyles, take risks, and pursue their dreams. Her quality lessons and videos can be downloaded free.

Kelly is also the current Mrs. Calgary, and was recently nominated for Business in Calgary’s Leaders of Tomorrow Award. She has been married to her husband Jamie for 15 years and together they have three children. We know of Kelly's life and work and are so proud of her accomplishments.
