Fiji Church Hosts South Pacific Teen Camp PDF Print Email

It is truly amazing to see teenagers from different parts of the world unite for a common cause. Earlier this year, teens came together in Fiji to help each other draw closer to God.

This January more the 50 teens and teen leaders gathered in Fiji for their 2nd annual teen camp. There were teens from Melbourne and Brisbane, Australia, teens from Hampton Roads, Virginia, and of course, teens from Fiji.

This year's theme was “Pure In Heart”. Every day teens heard lessons calling them to strengthen their walk with God. Some of the lessons’ titles were "Pure Convictions: Standing Up For God", "Pure Spiritual Friendships", "Thirsting For God: Quiet Times" and "Lives of Impact."

We had discipleship groups, lots of fun-filled fellowship, and variety nights. We even had our international volley championship where Brisbane, Australia was crowned as champions!

Teen disciples left with their hearts inspired to love God and the focus on impacting their ministries and schools. Non-disciples were also left challenged to pursue God.

God truly used this weekend to ignite a fire in us all. We are deeply thankful for the Fiji Church's hard work in putting this together. The disciples from Fiji are known for their warmth and generous hearts. Their hard work paid off as we were all touched.
