WANTED: Godly Videos and Entertainment
The Art of Videography - Is it In you?Jerry Maday Worcester, MassachusettsOctober 6, 2006With the introduction and advances of digital technology, more and more people have access to the tools for creating quality "Home Video" than ever before. Web Sites, such as Google, Altavista and especially YouTube, offer dedicated search engines solely for digital video media. As we grow and improve our Disciples Today site, I want to give the church more opportunities than ever before to see godly videos and holy entertainment right here at our website. First of all, if you have a video to share, that you have created, send me a link to it, or a DVD for consideration! Our members around the globe will rejoice to have access to edifying, entertaining and evangelistic videos. Contact me at the e-mail noted below if you have any questions.Secondly, please enjoy the videos we post here and spread the word about this new effort. This week, I have selected a video submitted from the Teen Ministry of the Boston church of Christ. This was put together for the annual "Film Festival" at the summer teen camp and highlights a popular theme "The Choice of the New Generation"THE CREATIVE PROCESS FOR THIS VIDEOMichael Lamb shared, "The original inspiration for this video came when I saw a Pepsi commercial on Television. The message was that this product would give you energy, zeal, and fun. I thought, it would be great to make a commercial with our teens to show the power of the Word of God."Like all teens, the Boston Teens have a lot of fun. To make the video, they invited anyone who wanted to come to meet in downtown Lowell, Massachusetts one Saturday morning. They talked about the concept of the video and encouraged each of them to be out of themselves and display the power of the Bible. They filmed for 3 hours. |
