"Follow Me" to the 2010 ICMC US in Chicago PDF Print Email
by Chris Zillman - Chicago  -  Monday, 08 March 2010

Twitter and Facebook have changed the way people interact and communicate. We “follow” one another through these online portals to learn about each other. This isn’t what Jesus meant when he said “Follow Me”, however.

The simple invitation from Jesus is not a casual invite. It is a call to an intense, personal, learning apprenticeship under a master. For Jesus’ followers, this is a relevant call to adventure, to new and bold challenges, and to changed lives.

During this year’s International Campus Ministry Conference, we will explore the principals of Biblical training and will reexamine our own call to discipleship. Each Christian must both heed the call and proclaim the call to be a student under the authority of the Master.

The 2010 ICMC US will be held July 29 - August 1 at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago. Once again, the ICMC will include a day of service with HOPE worldwide.

Registration will soon be open at www.hereamisendme.net

God blessed the campus ministries of the International Churches of Christ with a resurgence over the last few years. 300 students gathered in San Antonio at the 2004 ICMC. In 2009, over 3,000 gathered at 21 ICMCs in 20 countries around the globe. New campus ministries are springing up and more students are taking the One Year Challenge to serve in internships around the world.
