"Follow Me" to the 2010 ICMC US in Chicago PDF Print Email
by Chris Zillman - Chicago  -  Wednesday, 07 July 2010

The Hyatt at McCormick place is now officially sold out! If you are looking for a hotel close to the conference we have arranged to have some rooms blocked off at a hotel nearby called the Chicago South Loop Hotel. There are approximately 60 rooms available at this hotel so if you don’t have a room please register for one now. It is about a mile away from the conference so you will need to take a cab or drive from this hotel to the conference every morning. However, this hotel makes up for that inconvenience by offering a price that is $20 less expensive a night. Please register there today!

Hello everyone! As the conference is approaching we have over 1600 students presently registered! Our hope is that we have 2000 total participants when we begin this year's conference in Chicago. Yet, we know that sometimes situations arise that will not allow for some of you to come. If for some reason you have registered already but can no longer attend we have a cancellation policy we'd like to communicate. If you cancel your registration by July 20th you will receive a 75% refund, if you cancel by July 27th you will receive a 50% refund. After July 27th we can no longer offer refunds.

On-line registration will remain open at $95 all the way to July 20th. After July 20th on-line registration will no longer be available for the conference. However, you will be able to simply show up at the conference and register on-site for$115 if  you need to. Please register before the rate goes up again!

Also, you will only be guaranteed a t-shirt if you register before July 13. After which time it sill be first come first serve, so please register earlier to reserve your t-shirt for the conference!

We will see you all in a couple of weeks!

Twitter and Facebook have changed the way people interact and communicate. We “follow” one another through these online portals to learn about each other. This isn’t what Jesus meant when he said “Follow Me”, however.

The simple invitation from Jesus is not a casual invite. It is a call to an intense, personal, learning apprenticeship under a master. For Jesus’ followers, this is a relevant call to adventure, to new and bold challenges, and to changed lives.

During this year’s International Campus Ministry Conference, we will explore the principals of Biblical training and will reexamine our own call to discipleship. Each Christian must both heed the call and proclaim the call to be a student under the authority of the Master.

The 2010 ICMC US will be held July 29 - August 1 at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago. Once again, the ICMC will include a day of service with HOPE worldwide.

Registration is open at www.hereamisendme.net

God blessed the campus ministries of the International Churches of Christ with a resurgence over the last few years. 300 students gathered in San Antonio at the 2004 ICMC. In 2009, over 3,000 gathered at 21 ICMCs in 20 countries around the globe. New campus ministries are springing up and more students are taking the One Year Challenge to serve in internships around the world.
