The Charleston Church of Christ is looking for a brother to spearhead the effort to establish a campus ministry on the Charleston metropolitan area campuses.

 

 

 

We have five campuses here in Charleston, with a total student enrollment of over 30,000 students.

    1. Charleston Southern University
    2. The College of Charleston
    3. The Citadel
    4. The Medical University of South Carolina
    5. Trident Technical College

The Church has been dreaming of starting a thriving campus ministry to reach out to these young men and women. We have been putting aside money and praying to be able to find a young disciple who has grown up spiritually in a campus ministry. We want to hire a campus intern/minister who will work under the direction and supervision of the church leader to be trained in building this ministry.

 

While experience as a campus minister is desirable we would be willing to consider applications from those who have served in a non paid leadership capacity in campus work.

Requirements:
  1. Recommendation letter from current church leadership
  2. Must be somebody who would welcome the challenge of starting a ministry from the ground up (i.e. self starter, driven, & dynamic)
  3. Willing to work closely with the Evangelist and able to take and apply direction with enthusiasm.
  4. Eager to learn.
  5. Solid, consistent, and growing spiritual walk with God.
  6. Good relational skills
  7. Able to teach the Bible to individuals and to lead small group Bible discussions.
