The fundraising for the Global AIDS Program of HOPE worldwide in Africa has been a great success. We have received enough funding from churches and individuals across the U.S. to continue the headquarters and regional officework of Drs. Mark Ottenweller and Marc Aguirre into Spring 2010 to develop new partners and raise crucial funding to support 30,000 orphans and children affected by AIDS across Africa.

Please pray that God will “open the floodgates of heaven” to help disciples across Africa to provide desperately needed food, counseling, health care, education, AIDS prevention, child protection, and income generation for these children and their families. Many of the young girls are at high risk for rape, abuse, and violence and we want to help them. Please pray that God would open doors at Nestle, Shell Oil, Vodacom, Coca Cola, Standard Bank, AusAid, USAID, the Elton John AIDSFoundation, and the Elizabeth Glazer Pediatric AIDS Foundation which we have approached to fund these programs for children.

We want to especially thank Steve Johnson who raised $30,000 for orphans in Mozambique and Zambia through his recent production of “John Mark” in South Africa. All of us can pray and all of us can do something to help. So many of you already have. One of the children we serve in Botswana wants to thank you (see picture).
