Thanks to your compassion Zawadi has a second chance at life

Nairobi, Kenya:
Three-year old Zawadi was sent to live with her grandmother in her rural home after her mother passed away. Soon after moving, Zawadi’s grandmother also died, forcing the young girl to move yet again, this time to the home of her aunt and uncle.

The losses Zawadi experienced at such a young age left her sad and emotionally troubled. She had difficulty focusing on her studies and began to perform poorly in school. Her aunt and uncle were unable to provide the care she needed so her father brought her back to live with him in the Kibera slums.

Wondering how he could support his daughter, Zawadi’s father approached a program sponsored by the Center of HOPE worldwide Kenya. This program provides the nutritional, medical, educational, spiritual and psychosocial support that she desperately needed. Zawadi is now able to live the joyful, hope-filled life that all children deserve. In addition to helping Zawadi, HOPE worldwide provides 114 orphaned and vulnerable children with nutritional, medical and educational support.
