| Call to Prayer for All in Iran |

‘I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth’. - 1Timothy 2:1-4
The demonstrations in Iran are turning increasingly violent. Many lives are at risk and the future of a nation is at stake. Similar to the days prior to the fall of the Iron Curtain, uncertainty and chaos are ruling the streets. For those of us who were disciples then, we distinctly remember how powerful intercessory prayers can be. Similarly, there is a great need for prayers of intercession for Iran today. As an Iranian-American, I have been an eye witness to the previous Iranian revolution and to a devastating war that followed it. As a disciple of Jesus for the past 21 years and as a former missionary in the Middle East, I have seen many come to Christ due to And let us remember Jesus’ words in Matthew 18:19-20, ‘I promise that when any two of you on earth agree about something you are praying for, my Father in heaven will do it for you.
