Zebramatrix is the solo project of Reiner Von Weber and friends as they embrace the future sounds for the soul. Inspired by Jesus Christ and the truth that is in all of us, Zebramatrix emanates the dualities of man and machine, light and dark, as well as analog and digital. Both are needed to show the great uniqueness of one versus the other. Otherwise, there would be nothing to compare them to.  The "Zebra" represents analog, black and white, and "Matrix" represents digital, binary-1's and 0's.  As we have entered into a digital age, the foundation of digital is formed from the analog world.  Fast breaks, low thumping bass, and soothing sounds to get any sound system an awakening is the Zebramatrix. With its roots in Mus??que Concr??te, a 20th century French avant-garde genre combining symphonic instruments with recorded sounds, Zebra matrix provides a channel to reach out to people with an affinity for the edgy-techno, digital grooves that move them on the dance floor. 

The mastermind of this project, Reiner Von Weber, has been producing electronica music for 13 years. His background all started when he used to perform for underground raves in San Francisco, San Diego, and Los Angeles.  At one point, he had 5,000 people dancing to his beats. His band became so popular that they were up in line to play at Woodstock 1999.  But due to the riots, the concert closed down two hours before they were to perform.  Although Reiner and his crew achieved a great deal of success and popularity, it was never satisfying enough for him.  And with the success and popularity came the abuse of heavy drugs and alcohol.  For two years, Reiner prayed to be sober, but he just could not stop.  He knew he had to make a decision to cut ties with everything that used and abused him.

God answered prayers because in time, he was able to move in with family in the Los Angeles area, get into a rehabilitation program, and head back to school.  Within 8 months after completing his rehabilitation program, a disciple in Reiner???s school shared with him the scriptures in Ecclesiastes that ???everything is meaningless.???  Intrigued by the message, Reiner became open to studying the Bible.  He was introduced to disciples of Christ who genuinely cared about their relationship with God and who were connected with the Word.  After two months of studying the scriptures, Reiner made the life-changing decision to be baptized into Christ and his life changed 180 degrees!

Now Reiner is using his talents to share the Word of God and his passion for electronica music in Zebramatrix.  One of the innovative things that Reiner created in this album was putting a sermon to electronica music.  Two tracks in this album were actually sermons preached by Los Angeles Church elder, Henry Cramer, and Los Angeles Church evangelist, Kevin Mains.  Hearing a sermon with good dance beats is one way to always remember the main points! 

Not only is a respected elders and evangelist featured in this album, Reiner brought in talented disciples from the Los Angeles church to help him put his music together.  Up and coming singer/songwriter Kristina Hill sang to melodic tunes on track 8 titled ???Angels???.  This song was written 5 years ago in dedication to the angels who protected Reiner, even while he was going through the abuse of drugs and alcohol.  Track 6 features Tony Sol, a disciple who thrives on spiritual Hip-Hop, singing this funky, upbeat Reggaeton song ???Do Something??? that will inspire you to get crazy on the dance floor!  Another highlight of this album is the inclusion of teen ministry talents, Daniel Plymell, David Johnson, and Scott Brito, who share strong spiritual messages about the illusions of the world and fighting to stay close to God.

Listening to the mixture of scriptures and dance beats can inspire anyone to ask, ???Does the Bible really say that????  As a listener, I felt compelled to open up the Bible and find out for myself.   It is like listening to a cool quiet time.  Listeners can expect to be spiritually fed as they let the tracks play. 

In fact, when Reiner???s friend from school, Rodrigo Arriagada, helped him record the background music for Kevin Main???s sermon about ???Heaven???, he listened to it and became convicted about the message.  He asked Reiner how he could get to heaven, and before long, Rodrigo studied the Bible and was baptized, along with his fiance.  Now they are faithful, married disciples in the Latino Ministry!
