We wanted to encourage all of your readers by sharing what God has done this past weekend in the city of Dalton Georgia.

Dalton is a city of approximately 35,000 people with 40-50% of it's population comprised of Latinos. We, the Chattanooga Church of Christ along with the support of brothers and sisters of the Atlanta Church have been planning a Spanish-speaking service for the past month in an effort to reach Dalton's Latino population. Dan and Beverly Sessions, an amazing key leader couple in Chattanooga, shared that they have been praying for something like this for 10 years!

I believe God has answered their prayers; not only was it a great time of fellowship and encouragement for Spanish speaking disciples, but those visiting with us felt the warmth of the love of the Disciples as well. We had approximately 40 people worshipping together and serving in different aspects of the service from singing to serving in the children's ministry. We are so grateful for our English speaking brothers and sisters from the Chattanooga church who came and served, sang and worshipped with us despite the language barrier--they helped make this service a reality.

GOOD NEWS: 5 of the people that were visiting with us from Dalton have committed to studying the Bible. We just finished studying the Bible with a young married couple that attended the service and they have committed to applying God's word in their life and answering the call to become Disciples of Jesus. We are truly grateful for what God is doing and has already done by planting a seed of hope for the future of the Latino Ministry in the South; God has used this service to inspire native Spanish speakers from Atlanta and nearby areas in this region of the South to dream and plan for the future of the Latino ministry in their cities.

Please pray for God to send out workers into the harvest field that is Dalton Georgia and all throughout the South. To God be the glory!
