The Springfield Church of Christ (part of the ICOC) in Springfield, MO is looking for full time Ministry staff to lead a congregation of approximately 35 members.

This church was planted in 2001 and has fluctuated from approximately 50 members at its height to around 30 members at times. The majority of the church consists of married couples (between 5-10 years married) with an average of 10 years as a disciple; young children and a very small campus and singles ministry.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following traits and experience:
-8 years minimum as a Disciple
-3-5 years of campus (preferably) or general ministry experience (can be paid or non-paid staff)
-Have a specific passion and drive to build and oversee the campus ministry in Springfield
-Be able to dedicate a large amount of time to being on campus, attending campus events, hosting campus events and studies, discipling and lifting up campus leaders and increasing the Churches visibility within the local college campuses
-Have an extensive an in-depth knowledge of the Bible
-Be articulate and charismatic in communication
-Excel in Preaching abilities as this position will serve as the main preacher
-Be passionate, mature and teachable
-Have the desire and ability to relocate to Springfield long-term
-Be organized and effective at planning and managing church functions
-Be able to provide 3 written letters of recommendation or reference from current and/or past ministry staff and/or elders
-Be able to travel both locally and long distance as needed and provide own transportation
-Have sound financial convictions and discipline and be able to operate within the provided Church budget
-Be reliable and exemplary in personal discipline involving time management
-Be able to build and maintain a network of support within the heartland church leadership family
-Be able to work with the Church Board and core leadership group to assure the needs of the Church are being met
-Be able to engage in and commit to a lateral discipling relationship with members within the SCOC as well as in the Heartland Leadership Family
-Have a vision to grow Springfield through a dynamic campus ministry and be focused, faithful practical and intentional about achieving these goals through God’s Word and the unity and faith of His Church.
