"You heavens above, rain down righteousness; let the clouds shower it down. Let the earth open wide, let salvation spring up, let righteousness grow with it; I, the LORD, have created it."     Isaiah 45:8

Our God showered blessings on the Greater Atlanta Church of Christ (GACC). We're grateful that HE has
allowed us to see so many miracles in the 30 days of April. Through
several fun and exciting events and one particular midweek service that
needed special attention, the church came together contending for &
protecting the good news of Christ. (Philippians 1:27) 

The hardest midweek we've had in years was last month, when we had
to publicly warn several members of the congregation who were deeply
involved in unrepentant sexual sin. Unsure of what the outcome would
be, we were greatly encouraged to see the entire church rise from that
night even more unified, faithful and determined to honor God in our
personal righteousness! Even some who were warned saw it with the
correct intent and were encouraged to repent! It was a certain victory
against Satan's attacks. Yet, in the midst of that trial, God's desire
for salvation to spring up was fulfilled as 7 more souls were baptized
into Christ including mature singles, married men, single women and
college students!

On the first Sunday of April, Mike Patterson and Les Johnson appointed 26-year old Angel Maldonado as an evangelist of the Greater Atlanta Church of Christ. The congregation cheered emphatically as the announcement was made and the charge was given for Angel to preach the Word. (2 Timothy 4:1-2) Overwhelmed with emotions & gratitude, Angel thanked God for the privilege of serving!

With a congregation of under 200 members, we celebrated Easter putting all of our talents together to create and perform our original production, "Restoration Through the Resurrection". With almost 500 people in attendance, tears flowed and laughter filled the theatre as stories from the life of Jesus came to life on stage. Women's Day

The following Saturday, over 200 women of all ages, backgrounds and ethnicities traveled from all over the country to participate in our Women's Day 2009, "When the Women Get Together." The evening consisted of powerful preaching, soul-stirring sharing and heart-felt fellowship. Our Women's Ministry Leader, Shawn Patterson, served as the keynote speaker. We share these victories to encourage the saints around the world & give the glory and praise to God who has considered us worthy of such a great salvation. Not only do we look forward to the hope of heaven, but God has blessed us with the opportunity to have a dynamic relationship with Him on Earth. Please continue to pray for us as we grow in spirit, spread the gospel & win souls for Christ! Our motto is to love without stopping. (1 Corinthians 16:13)

We hope this encouraging scripture will inspire you to allow God's word to accomplish its purpose in your life and share it with people in your towns and cities.

As the rain and the snow
come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
