"They have been without a full time minister in this church of 300 Christians for about five years..." The Rio de Janeiro International Church of Christ is excited about what God is doing.

Although the world is struggling with economic problems, the Lord is blessing his church in Rio de Janeiro. They recently had a retreat during Carnaval (similar to Mardi Gras) and a young man named Leandro was baptized. This weekend, a lady, Dona Angela, was baptized too.

This coming Monday, they are set to sign the papers to buy a building which can be used for their meetings and office. God arranged things in amazing ways to make it possible for them to afford the payments for the new place, so the disciples are praising His name. They have been without a full time minister in this church of 300 Christians for about 5 years. They are super excited to see God’s blessings, because a minister from the church in Brasilia (Brazil’s capitol) accepted an invitation to work for the church in Rio de Janeiro.

He and his wife, Alexandre and Kelli, moved on March 1st. Jorge and Ana, a couple that used to be on staff in Sao Paulo years ago, but are living and working in Brasilia today, accepted the invitation to serve the church in Brasilia. Little by little, the churches are getting staffed and dreaming of what the Lord can do in this great nation.
