Malaria, dengue, encephalitis, and other diseases are coming. Cholera, typhoid, dysentery, and other diseases are coming. The rainy season is coming.

All these plagues will soon fall on a million young children and families living out in the open in Haiti.

Anne Neyland is a gentle warrior and a hero to all who know her.

Members of the Greater Nashville Church, Anne and her husband Bob, are active in the leadership of the Pacesetters,a group for older disciples who minister not only to the needs of each other but to many others in and outside the church.

Thank you to all of our brothers and sisters around the world who are praying for the disciples and the entire country of Chile. We continue to need your prayers.

Here’s an update of news from today: Adriana was found!! Thanks so much for praying for her. Her bus stopped in a smaller city between Santiago and Concepción and she was unharmed by the earthquake.

My son and I went downtown to a shelter last month with a bin of winter coats, gloves and hats to pass out. We expected to find a regular group of men and a couple women lingering outside the shelter, where we regularly hand out bars of soap, coats and gloves. This Saturday, there was only one man out in the cold - a regular from the shelter named Richy. I asked him "Where is everybody today?"
