 Last week a Washington D.C. Metro crashed into a stationary train. The accident resulted in 9 deaths and 70 injured passengers. Dr. Daniel Hines, a member of the Potomac Valley Church of Christ in Virgina, was in the first car and was one of the injured passengers. |

 This year on Juneteenth*, we teamed up with Walmart to raise awareness of diabetes in the lower income, predominantly African American communities in New Orleans. Walmart's Health and Wellness partners supplied the literature for us to distribute and Tulane University provided a mobile screening unit and trained technicians to screen for diabetes. We targeted the neighborhoods around the store on Tchoupitoulas and the store in Algiers.

Nairobi, Kenya:
Three-year old Zawadi was sent to live with her grandmother in her rural home after her mother passed away. Soon after moving, Zawadi’s grandmother also died, forcing the young girl to move yet again, this time to the home of her aunt and uncle. |

 44 disciples from Africa, Canada and the US are already signed up for the next Steps of the Apostles Tour that will include the Steps of Jesus in Israel! The October 5-18, 2010 tour will visit Rome, Italy; Athens, Greece; Ephesus, Turkey; Alexandria and Cairo, Egypt as well as Jerusalem, the Sea of Galilee and more in Israel.
