Obedience training has begun. My husband is working with our little pup, teaching him four basic commands - sit, stay, come and no. These are the commands, that when fully trained, Denver should respond to immediately – and always. I look forward to his increased obedience as he matures. He will not only be pleasant to live with, but he will be much safer. |

Breathless in Bodarie

Yonel was gasping for breath. Sweating, unresponsive and his pulse was thready and blood pressure low. He was literally dying from an asthma attack in the waiting area of our medical outreach in Bodarie, Haiti. We were his only hope since the local clinic was closed today. |

What does mercy mean?
Romans 12:1 (NASB) reads, “Therefore I urge you brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice…”
“Mercies” in Greek is the word OIKTERMOS, which appears five times in the KJV and the NASB. It’s translated “mercy” or “compassion.” It means compassion, pity, mercy; the bowels in which compassion resides, a heart of compassion; emotions, longings, manifestations of pity. |
